Admission Monsoon session 2010 Master of Science in Disaster Management Two years professional Degree Program commencing 1st July 2010. An Evening Programme of the Department conducted in association with Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC) Applicants are invited from interested graduates in prescribed from for admission to two years M.Sc in Disaster Management Professional Degree for the 2010 Monsoon Session (July to December). Candidates will be selected based on academic records, written and oral test and practical experience. Eligibility Of Applicant’s: Admission is open to a wide range of graduates from Sciences, Social Sciences, Engineering Sciences and Agricultural Sciences who full-fill the following requirements: (a) Second Class or GPA 2.5 out of 4 in SSC and HSC examinations, (b) Second class or CGPA 2.5 out of 4 in 4 years Bachelor (in honor’s)degree or its equivalent, and (c) Second Class in 3 years Bachelor Degree with one year Master degree or its equivalent from any recognized university. Persons currently are working at GO, NGO and other organizations and have professional experience in the fields of disaster management, environment, development work etc are encouraged to apply. Application Procedure: Candidates shall apply on prescribed forms obtained from the office of the Department of Geography and Environment on payment of 500 Taka only and will sit for an admission test conducted by the Department. The filled in application form along with all necessary documents(e.g. 2 attested copies of passport size photographs, attested copies of certificates and mark sheets of all examinations, and other documents like working experience etc. ) must be submitted to the office of the department by 17 June 2010. The application should be submitted between 9.00AM to 4.00PM on working days. The academic program will start from 1st July 2010.
